OT Introduction I: Critical Issues

Course Features:
This course, along with OT Introduction II, serves as a general introduction of the Old Testament's inspiration, text, canon, chronology, and historical setting. This particular course will focus on the critical background issues related to the Old Testament, including those related to historical criticism and authorship, from a conservative Reformed viewpoint. 
Meet the Professor

Dr. Michael Barrett

Dr. Michael P. V. Barrett is a professor of various Old Testament courses at Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary (PRTS) in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He earned his doc­tor­ate in Old Tes­ta­ment Text with a spe­cial focus on Semitic lan­guages. He is a mem­ber of the Evan­gel­i­cal The­o­log­i­cal Soci­ety and has pub­lished books, such as Beginning at Moses, The Gospel of Exodus, and Complete in Him. He contributed to and served as Old Testament editor for The Reformation Heritage KJV Study Bible.
