Learning Center FAQs
What is a Learning Center?
A physical gathering of EQUIP learners, hosted by a church or another suitable venue. Participants taking the same courses come together to review what they have studied, work through difficult questions, and apply the material to their own lives and ministries.
What is the typical format of a Learning Center session?
A typical session might run for two hours and include:
- Opening worship and prayer.
- A short review or supplementary teaching on the current course content.
- Small-group discussion, guided by prepared questions.
- Mentoring time, in which facilitators meet with individuals or small clusters of learners.
- Closing prayer and a preview of the coming weeks
What are the key benefits of a Learning Center?
Students join a community of learners who hold one another accountable. Learning Center facilitators provide close mentoring that combines encouragement with guidance. The bond between a PRTS partner seminary and its local church is strengthened.
